STEAM ENGINE and it's WORKING

A steam engine is a type of heat engine that uses steam to produce mechanical work. It was first developed in the 18th century and played a significant role in the industrial revolution.

A steam engine works by heating water to produce steam, which is then directed into a cylinder where it pushes a piston back and forth. The movement of the piston is transmitted to a crankshaft, which converts the reciprocating motion of the piston into rotary motion. This rotary motion can then be used to power a variety of machinery, such as pumps, generators, and locomotives.

Steam engines can be classified into two main types: reciprocating and turbine. Reciprocating steam engines use pistons to convert steam pressure into mechanical work, while turbine steam engines use a series of rotating blades to convert steam energy into rotational motion.

While steam engines were once widely used for transportation and power generation, they have largely been replaced by internal combustion engines and electric motors. However, steam engines still have some niche applications, such as in antique tractors and steam-powered boats.
