STERLING ENGINE and it's WORKING

A Stirling engine is a heat engine that operates by cyclically compressing and expanding air or other gas at different temperatures. It was invented in 1816 by Robert Stirling, a Scottish clergyman, and is also known as a hot air engine or an external combustion engine, and has been used in various applications, including pumping water, generating electricity, and powering vehicles.

The basic components of a Stirling engine include a hot heat source, a cold heat sink, and a working fluid (typically air). The engine works by cyclically heating and cooling the working fluid, causing it to expand and contract. The expansion and contraction of the gas drives a piston or a displacer, which converts the thermal energy into mechanical energy. The mechanical energy can then be used to drive a generator or a mechanical device.

Stirling engines are known for their high efficiency and low noise, and they can run on a variety of heat sources, including solar energy, biomass, and waste heat. However, they are typically less powerful and more expensive than other types of engines, and they require a heat source with a significant temperature difference to operate efficiently. Despite these limitations, Stirling engines are still used today in some specialized applications, such as in submarines, where their low noise and vibration are important advantages.
