FOUR-STROKE CYCLE:

The four-stroke cycle is the most common type of engine used in cars. This cycle involves four separate stages, each of which plays a vital role in the functioning of the engine. The stages are:

Intake Stroke: During this stage, the piston moves down, creating a vacuum that pulls air and fuel into the combustion chamber.

Compression Stroke: The piston moves back up, compressing the air and fuel mixture. This stage is essential for creating the necessary conditions for combustion to occur.

Power Stroke: When the piston reaches the top of its compression stroke, a spark ignites the compressed air and fuel mixture, causing an explosion that forces the piston back down.

Exhaust Stroke: The piston moves back up, pushing the exhaust gases out of the combustion chamber and through the exhaust system.


            This four-stroke cycle occurs repeatedly, with each stroke playing a vital role in the engine's functioning. The energy created by the combustion is used to turn the engine's crankshaft, which then turns the car's wheels, propelling it forward.


Car engines come in a variety of designs, including V-shaped, inline, and flat, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Some engines use different fuel sources, such as gasoline, diesel, or even electricity.
